Amid Rowan University’s continuing monitoring and preparation in response to the threat of COVID-19, we are concerned about the wellbeing and safety of guests who may attend events and activities on campus. Our goal is to limit the risk of infection and provide a healthy environment for all visitors to Rowan facilities.

Effective March 16 to April 30, all events, public shows, observatory open houses and field trips scheduled to take place at the Edelman Planetarium will be canceled. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience, but are doing this out of an abundance of caution.

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, we're exploring the inner workings of Earth's climate system. With visualizations based on satellite monitoring data and advanced supercomputer simulations, this cutting-edge production follows a trail of energy that flows from the Sun into the interlocking systems that shape our climate: the atmosphere, oceans, and the biosphere. Audiences will ride along on swirling ocean and wind currents, dive into the heart of a monster hurricane, come face-to-face with sharks and gigantic whales, and fly into roiling volcanoes.

During this 1-hour program, we will point out which planets and constellations will be visible in the night sky.

Please Note:

  • You will not need to print any tickets for the show. Please give your last name or order number to the cashier when you arrive to get checked in. Doors open 30 minutes before the start of the show.
