TARGET AUDIENCE: New Jersey Physicians; Podiatrists; Physician Assistants; Certified Nurse Midwives; Dentists; Advanced Practice Nurses; Social Workers; Psychologists; Marriage & Family Therapists; and Professional Counselors.
OBJECTIVES: At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Assess the use of MOUDs in pregnant women including indications, contraindications, and induction
- Recognize the risks to the fetus and mother
- Identify neonatal abstinence syndrome and its dangers
- Follow monitoring requirements
- Recognize the possible legal issues associated with OUD and pregnancy
