This is an enduring activity is designed to inform New Jersey health care professionals on a comprehensive overview of Cannabinoids.

FORMAT: Enduring

TARGET AUDIENCE: Physicians; Physician Assistants (PAs); Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs); Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs)

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the neurobiology of addiction
  • Discuss the pharmacology of Cannabinoids and differentiate between Cannabinoid receptors
  • Examine Epidemiologic trends
  • Discuss the interplay between cannabis use and mental health
  • Discuss pharmacologic treatments and psychosocial treatment
  • Analyze the interplay between the legal and recreational cannabis landscape from a public health perspective
  • Reconcile myths and misconceptions with reality

Available Continuing Medical Education (CME) Credits for Physicians:

To receive a certificate of completion, and CME certificate, watch the entire video, complete the Attestation Form / Outcome Survey / Evaluation. CME certificates can take up to 2 weeks to be emailed out.

Certificates of Completion for Other Health Care Professionals:Upon successful completion of the activity, participants will receive a certificate of completion, and should retain it in accordance with their relevant licensing board’s regulations.

All health care professionals must complete the Attestation Form, and Outcome Survey/Evaluation to receive a certificate of completion. Upon completion of these items, physicians will receive a CME certificate.
