Academic Detailing Sessions: Individual Practice Audit
Join our clinicians for a live 1 hour, virtual individual practice audit session. During this session, you will watch a pre-recorded introductory video and our team will begin to assess individual needs and needs of the practice. Then we will offer tailored, evidence-based clinical recommendations that are customized to meet the provider's needs. These needs can include; helping taper patients taking high-risk opioid regimens, promoting non-pharmacological treatments for pain management, increasing the use of medication-assisted treatment, and co-prescribing of naloxone for reversal of an overdose for opiate use disorders.
OBJECTIVES:
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- The learner will develop practice policies to ensure urine drug screens on patients prescribed chronic opioid analgesia at least once annually and co-prescribe naloxone for patients prescribed a minimum of 90 daily MME in compliance with state law.
- The learner will utilize the NJ prescription monitoring program as part of standard opioid prescribing practice.
- The learner will perform strategic monitoring and assessment using valid and reliable instruments for potential substance use disorder in patients who are prescribed opioid analgesia.
This program is designed to educate New Jersey health care professionals with prescribing authority, including physicians, dentists, optometrists, podiatrists, physician assistants, certified nurse midwives, advanced practice nurses, and pharmacists.

Every provider in the office/practice who would like to receive CME credit must register INDIVIDUALLY. Please be sure to include the name of your office/practice when registering.

No refunds will be issued once a registrant has logged in to the module. Registrants who have not logged in to the module may request a full refund within 14 days of their date of registration.
