This is a live webinar and enduring course series consisting of six modules that will use a standardized, evidence-based opioid addiction prevention curriculum to train and inform New Jersey health care professionals on best practices in opioid prescribing and patient care in compliance with federal and state statutory and regulatory guidelines.

The modules are designed to educate New Jersey health care professionals with prescribing authority, including physicians, physician assistants, podiatrists, dentists, optometrists, advanced-practice nurses, and certified nurse midwives, as well as licensed pharmacists, psychologists, social workers, professional counselors, marriage and family therapists, alcohol and drug counselors, and registered nurses and athletic trainers.

Each module will begin with a live webinar, which will be recorded and made available in an enduring course format for participants who are unable to register and attend the live webinar.

    Available Credit: This live webinar satisfied the statutory mandate that licensed pharmacists obtain one credit in continuing education programs concerning prescription opioid drugs as a condition of licensure renewal. Upon successful completion of the live webinar, participants received a certificate of completion, and should retain it in accordance with the New Jersey Board of Pharmacy’s regulations.

    • The live webinar has a maximum of 200 registrants. Please take note of registration open dates and register early to ensure a seat.
    • Hearing Impaired Registrants: Please note that the live webinar will not contain closed captioning. We suggest registering for the enduring course which will contain closed captioning.
    • IMPORTANT: The live webinar video will be the same video used in the enduring course. Per each module, you only need to register for either the live webinar or the enduring course.

    Refund Policy

    The following refund policy applies to both the live webinars and enduring courses. No refunds will be issued once a registrant has logged in to the module. Registrants who have not logged in to the module may request a full refund within 14 days of their date of registration. No refunds will be issued more than 14 days after registration. All refunds are issued directly to the credit card that was used to make the purchase.

    Registrants who logged in to the module for the live webinar will automatically be placed in the enduring course approximately one week after the live webinar event has concluded. For any registrant who logs in to the live webinar, but does not attend the live webinar event, you will be able to view the recorded live webinar in the enduring course portion.  No refunds will be issued for users who logged in to the module for the live webinar prior to the start time but did not attend the live webinar event during the time it was streamed.
