This is a training series from the Southern NJ MAT Center of Excellence and Northern NJ MAT Center of Excellence consisting of in-person trainings that will use a standardized, evidence-based substance use disorder (SUD) treatment, harm reduction, and recovery curriculum and related content to train and inform all members of New Jersey medication for addiction treatment (MAT) teams, including health care professionals with prescribing authority, nurses, MAT coordinators, and reentry teams.
All trainings will take place from 9:30am to 2:30pm EDT at the Robert Wood Johnson Conference Center, 3100 Quakerbridge Rd, Mercerville, New Jersey 08619. Breakfast and lunch will be served.

FOUNDATIONS OF MEDICATION FOR OPIOID USE DISORDER (MOUD)
This in-person training is designed to focus on the neurobiology of addiction, recurrence, and provision of MOUD for special populations (pregnant people).
IN-PERSON TRAINING: Will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 9:30am EDT. Registration closes on Friday, March 17, 2023.
CERTIFICATES OF COMPLETION FOR HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS: Upon successful completion of an in-person training, participants will receive a certificate of completion, and should retain it in accordance with their relevant licensing board’s regulations.
SYNTHETIC OPIOIDS, HARM REDUCTION, AND BEHAVIORAL THERAPY SUPPORT
This in-person training is designed to focus on synthetic opioids and other contaminants, harm reduction practices, and behavioral therapies.
IN-PERSON TRAINING: Will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 9:30am EDT. Registration closes on Friday, April 21, 2023.
CERTIFICATES OF COMPLETION FOR HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS: Upon successful completion of an in-person training, participants will receive a certificate of completion, and should retain it in accordance with their relevant licensing board’s regulations.
ENGAGING PATIENTS IN MEDICATION FOR OPIOID USE DISORDER (MOUD) IN VARIOUS SETTINGS
This in-person training is designed to focus on engaging patients in MOUD, reentry navigation, office-based addiction treatment (OBAT) and opioid treatment program (OTP) settings, and motivational interviewing (MI).
IN-PERSON TRAINING: Will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 9:30am EDT. Registration closes on Friday, June 16, 2023.
