The Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is proud to present the Virtual Antiracist Pedagogy and Practices (APP) Certificate Program. This is a professional development opportunity for those interested in developing antiracist educational and organizational environments. This certificate program is an excellent enhancement to your personal and professional development.

CERTIFICATE DESIGN AND CORE COURSE CONTENT

Registrants will select one of two core course track modules:

• The Inclusive Pedagogy Track Module, or 
• The Inclusive Campus Track Module

Descriptions of the tracks:

• The Inclusive Pedagogy Track Module: Registrants in the inclusive pedagogy track offers strategies that work to establish an antiracist learning environment from curriculum to classroom climate.
• The Inclusive Campus Track: Registrants in the Inclusive Practices Track, strategies for implementing antiracist approaches in their organization.

What to expect:

• Synchronous (live) - scheduled sessions with the course instructor (7 hours total)
• Asynchronous (on your own) - weekly readings, videos, and completion of activities (approximately 2 hours per week)
• Culminating project - complete a project in which you will identify a barrier to inclusive practices and work to remedy the problem throughout the course
